Stigma and Cultural Barriers
We know there is a persistent stigma surrounding mental health in many communities, including our Black communities. It is often difficult for us to seek help for mental health issues, which are often viewed as a sign of weakness or as something to be ashamed of. So, I encourage you to step over those thoughts and join a "soul healing" movement that will change your life and the lives of future generations!
Quality Care and Treatment
Even when services are accessible, the quality of care may vary. We experience bias, discrimination, or cultural insensitivity in healthcare settings, which can deter us from seeking or continuing mental health treatment. Join us for a discussion on how to begin the healing process!

Black Cord of Hope (BCoH)

We speak the names of those who paved the way for our moment of liberation! We take on the task of healing ourselves for future generations. We take the time to forgive Our foremothers and forefathers for those not yet born!
Our Common Unity equals Community!

Historical Trauma and Racism
Our Black communities have a history of enduring systemic racism, discrimination, and trauma. These experiences can contribute to high levels of stress, anxiety, and depression. Moreover, the impact of historical trauma, such as slavery, segregation, and ongoing racial injustice, can manifest in intergenerational trauma that affects mental health outcomes.

We are more powerful together than apart!

Each One Must Reach One

We know it is time for this new paradigm shift of what it is to be Black. It is time to involve the young and the old in a collective voice that will ignite the healing of the hearts, minds, and souls. To walk into our ordained place in this nation, we must embark on a new level of HEALING. This act of community camaraderie will spark a new level of connection, respect, and love for each other.
